Thank you for using Rotation List. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By using Rotation List, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Rotation List is a team and task rotation management app that helps individuals, teams, and organizations create, manage, and track rotating assignments, duties, and responsibilities. The App is designed to work primarily with data you create and control.

Rotation List is designed with privacy in mind. The core functionality of the App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. Any rotation names, task labels, or team member names you enter are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
To improve the App's performance and user experience, we collect anonymous usage and analytics data through PostHog. This data includes:

We use PostHog, an open-source product analytics platform, to collect and analyze anonymous usage data as described in Section 3. PostHog may collect certain device identifiers and usage information in accordance with its privacy policies.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information in connection with your download and use of the App in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not control Apple's data collection practices.

We do not sell, rent, or trade any user information to third parties. We may disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:

Content you create within Rotation List (rotation lists, task names, assignments) is stored locally on your device. This data is not backed up to or stored on our servers.
Content you publish through the Discover and Community messaging features is stored in Apple's iCloud. This data is not backed up to or stored on our servers.
Anonymous analytics data collected via PostHog is retained in accordance with PostHog's data retention policies. You can review PostHog's data retention practices at posthog.com/privacy.

Rotation List is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

If you prefer not to share anonymous analytics data, you may opt out by adjusting your device's privacy or tracking settings. Opting out of analytics does not affect your ability to use any App features.
Since all content you create is stored locally on your device, you can delete your data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data through your device settings.
Templates you have published publically and public messages you have sent are not deleted.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information associated with our App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this policy and may notify you through the App or App Store release notes. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
